Basilicata, Matera, and Abruzzo;  April 1-10, 2016
Basilicata? Matera? Abruzzo? Which country are they in? The answer is…..Italy. This is the undiscovered Italy most travelers have never heard of. We will be staying in fabulous places, going truffle hunting, cooking, going on private archeology + history tours, and relishing this area, down in the boot of Italy.   Every day you will be invited to write/photograph/sketch/write a poem or use any other mode of expression to respond to at least one thing that moved you, touched you, inspired you, amused you, educated you. After a wonderful dinner, you are invited to share what you created with the group.

Albania: April 12-19, 2016
Albania has been named the #1 hottest new destination in Europe by Lonely Planet, and is #8 on the New York Times list of must-go places. The country was cut off from the outside world for so long that it has maintained its authenticity and intrigue. This walking and culture trip involves UNESCO World Heritage sites, engagement with locals, history, mystery, and spectacular scenery. Every day you will be invited to write/photograph/sketch/write a poem or use any other mode of expression to respond to at least one thing that moved you, touched you, inspired you, amused you, educated you. After a wonderful dinner, you are invited to share what you created with the group.  If you have reservations about any of the walks, vans are at your service.
